Homecoming 2009

The threat of rain didn’t dampen the spirits of alumni and friends who traveled to the main campus for the Homecoming 2009 celebration at the end of March. Alumni came from across the country to socialize, network, and show their support for the Alumni Association Award recipients. A record number of alumni were nominated and selected to receive these awards.

Homecoming highlights included a student production of Sam Shepard’s Fool for Love, a luncheon hosted by our international students, the Friday night tailgate party and baseball game, special reunion lunches on Saturday afternoon, and the Alumni Dinner Dance and Awards Ceremony on Saturday evening. Alumni reunited to play volleyball, soccer, and softball. Kappa Alpha Sigma fraternity dedicated a new plaque honoring brothers who have passed, and Delta Phi Delta enjoyed their freshly painted park bench.

Plans are already under way for next year’s Homecoming event, so if your class year ends in a 0 or a 5 you can start making plans for your milestone reunion in 2010.
