Saint Leo University stresses to prospective and current students the importance of service- learning, which means finding ways to help others while pursuing academic study. With the university’s guidance, students can pursue volunteer opportunities outside of class or opportunities directly linked to class work. This happens at both the main campus and at our Continuing Education centers.

For the second consecutive year, these activities have earned Saint Leo a place on the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. The Community Service Honor
Roll is the highest federal recognition a school can achieve for its commitment to service-learning and civic engagement. “The types of service-learning activities and volunteer projects that are affirmed by the Community Service Honor are an important part of everyday life at Saint Leo, and we have been included on the list of honorees every year since the Honor Roll’s inception,” said President Arthur F. Kirk, Jr.
