Saint Leo University offers several competitive, quality master’s degree programs, and the program in criminal justice is no exception. The master’s degree in criminal justice is a two-year program designed to prepare the student for higher positions in law enforcement. It can be completed on campus, online, or any combination thereof. Students that complete the program on campus take two classes at a time over a sixteen week period, and students that participate via distance learning take one class at a time over an eight week period. There is also an accelerated program available to complete the master’s degree in under two years, though this requires approval on an individual basis.

Accreditation certifies a college for both the educational and professional world. Saint Leo University is accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, one of six regional accreditors of the United States. The six regional accreditors have been approved by both the Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education; they are considered the trustworthy evaluators of quality education. This means that a degree from Saint Leo University is not only considered a reputable asset to bring to the work force, but also qualifies for unit transfer to all other colleges within the six regional accreditors’ framework.
